This originally was written for a community group I’m part of, several folks posting daily check-ins for a few months. I invite you into the same practice. Winter is, after all, a time for looking inward, but also a time for stories, isn’t it?

Beloveds, will you pause with me?
I did All The Things yesterday at home (chores chores chores and still messy!) and my body said “rest” this morning. And with the world winter-storming and burning and warring and flooding and disrespecting, I really needed my “Choose Love” mug this morning. If that also resonates with you, I invite you into a Love energy practice for yourself and our Home.
Find a comfortable posture and come to the amount of stillness that works best for you.
Inagine a tiny spark of light just behind your heart, a warm glow. Imagine it is Love Light.
Feed that spark the memory of an act of kindness you have witnessed. Inagine the spark grows larger, filling your chest.
Feed that spark the memory of an act of kindness you have received. Imagine the ball of Love Light now warms your torso.
Feed that spark the memory of an act of kindness you have given. Imagine the globe of Love Light envelopes you head to toe, fingertip to fingertip.
Feed that spark the possibility of an act of kindness passing from one being to another, over and over, human animal plant rock water air. Imagine that world of Love Light encompassing our planet and beyond.
You are not holding it alone.
When you are ready, begin drawing the Love Light back into yourself, back to the spark behind your heart, to be there whenever you need it. Always.
How is it with your spirit today? Share a brief check in, if you like.
